Morsø Humidifier

The Morsø Kettle is made of enameled cast iron and functions as a decorative water humidifier that positively contributes to the humidity of the surrounding indoor environment.

The interior of the Morsø kettle is not food approved, so the water should not be used for drinking or cooking.

After some time, you may find that limescale/rusting arises inside the humidifier or between the Kettle and the lid. This can easily be removed with a plastic sponge or some rust remover containing oil. The Kettle will keep its beautiful surface if you wash it with destilled water and a bit of soft soap, or, alternatively, treat it with a thin layer of lamp oil. 

It is recommended that the water is replaced frequently to avoid any discoloring of the water. 

To avoid that the water in the Kettle gets too hot and boils over, you can place the kettle on a Morsø Trivet. The Trivet will also protect the top plate when the Kettle is put on the stove. The Trivet is made out of cast iron.
